Hazy Creek

Three forks

"The "Three Forks" refers to a place in Hazy Creek where there's a place that three hollows come together. Rick says the name of the right-hand fork is the "Bee-Tree Fork." At least that's the name our grandpa Joe Wills gave it.
I took the picture of Rick there on a rock at the Three Forks of Hazy in 1963, when anyone who wanted could drive into Hazy and do just about whatever they wanted without asking anyone's permission. My dad, Rick, and I were there just to explore a little, and to sightsee. Rick stepped out onto a big rock out in the middle of Hazy Creek, and squatted down to look around. It was a beautiful April afternoon, full of the sound of rushing water, warm air, and the sight of new green leaves and sunshine--like a new Eden. And ramps were up. Dad found some ginseng. It was happiness in a Spring evening."
